Clear & Sheer Day 3

Finally got another card finished for Online Card Classes Clear & Sheer and I love it.  I thought it looked like a fun challenge to try out and I was right about it being a challenge!  I created a slider card as shown by Kelly Marie Alvarez.  It was super tricky to get all the pieces put together perfectly to ensure it worked smoothly but the result was worth it.

I used the Lawn Fawn Love You so Mush stamp set and coloured with Copics.  I assembled following the instructions in class and created a frame from some Heidi Swapp Hello Today patterned paper and used a cute mushroom cut from the coordinating Lawn Fawn die set to create a small pull at the top of the card.  I attached this with some foam tape to allow it to sit nicely over top of the frame.
I decided to leave the sentiment off at this point, as I'm not sure who the recipient will be.  I'll add a sentiment strip before sending.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my card!

Clear &. Sheer Day 2

Wow, it's been a long time since my last post.  I have been super busy with my toddler daughter, and currently expecting my second child in July.  I have finally been motivated to get back in to the card making world and what a better time than to join in for Online Card Classes Clear & Sheer.
I needed to create a birthday card for my niece who just turned two, so I decided to use some vellum and a simple technique demonstrated by the amazingly talented Debby Hughes.

I used the Cupcake Mimi stamp from Penny Black, coloured with Copics, fussy cut and then added some touches of Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents and Wink of Stella.
The background paper was from My Mind's Eye, trying to use up some old stash!  And of course some Bazzil vellum.

Looking forward to getting my next card finished and up on my blog.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
